Being on Twitter at 1pm has never been so exciting - when I caught a glimpse of a tweet that proclaimed that the Alexander McQueen retrospective that had been a massive hit at the Met in New York was coming to London, I have to admit to almost jumping up and down on my bed!
The visionary body of work will be on display from March 14th 2015 until July 19th 2015, and will chart his rise to one of fashion's all time greats, starting with his 1992 MA graduate collection (which Isabella Blow bought in its entirety) to his A/W 2010, which remains unfinished.
Expect drama, expect beauty in extreme forms, expect to be blown away by the awesome creative talent that was Lee McQueen. I'm off to buy my tickets now (they go on sale today) and I will be pouring over my Savage Beauty Met exhibition book to remind myself of why this is sure to be a sellout.
