It's been a sad week for the fashion world, with the passing of Couture legend Oscar de la Renta on Tuesday. The legendary designer had dressed the great and the good for the past fifty years, and worked right up until his death from cancer, most recently designing Amal Clooney's stunning gown. A-listers past and present have relied upon his beautiful designs for red carpet moments and stellar events, he was the go-to designer for major events and society soirees.
Here are my all time favourite ODLR creations. Rest in Peace, brilliant man.
Fashion fans will remember this simple yet highly effective dress from Series 6 of Sex and the City, where an entire episode is dedicated to the designer. High praise indeed.
From the Spring 2012 collection, this mustard gown looked both edgy and elegant with the addition of its lace top.

I adored this stunning wedding dress from the 2013 Bridal Collection, so elegant and not a meringue in sight. Sigh.
Oscar was the King of the Red Carpet, and certainly helped Emma Watson to steal the show in this beautiful creation.
I adored this yellow creation from his Spring 2007 collection. Even seven years on, it still looks "now."
Amy Adams killed it in this amazing gown at the 2013 Oscars.
