My recent trip to a seaside resort in Spain literally saved my life. I hadn't realised the extent of my Seasonal Affected Disorder, being stuck in an office day after day in the cold winder months in the North of England. I was lucky enough to go to an amazing wedding at a villa high up in the hills, which boasted an infinity pool and a fantastic view of the sea. In my winter malaise, I hadn't even managed to organise my beachwear, and basically threw an old swimsuit and a battered bikini into my case the morning that I left to go to the airport. I realised my mistake when I arrived at this amazing place, with many of the guests visiting from hotter climates boasting killer swimwear, which had been carefully coordinated and well though out. Learn from my mistakes ladies, and put the same effort into your beachwear planning than the rest of your outfits, and you're bound to have a stylish and stress free holiday!
I've chosen my favourite outfits from the infinitely wearable and stylish Pasha Collection by River Island to cover most eventualities - I imagined my perfect day by the sea/pool and the different looks I would rock to make up for my beachwear oversights. I've also taken inspiration from the catwalks, highlighting how the Pacha collection is bang on trend. Enjoy your pool wear planning!
Early morning swim and breakfast
Just because it's the crack of dawn and there's hardly any one else about that's committed to exercising on holiday doesn't mean you can be sloppy with your first beachwear outfit of the day! Start as you mean to go on with a morning dip in the sea sporting the white Pacha fishnet bikini top and matching bikini bottoms - a fine example of the current sports luxe trend. It'll look great if you decide to play a bit of beach volleyball too! Or the white and black mesh zip swimsuit is perfect if you want some extra tummy control and a sleek silhouette if you decide on an early morning surf. Whatever exercise you choose, after you've dried off throw on the white Pacha stud embellished tunic cover up with the brightly coloured aztec print running shorts and you're ready for a leisurely (healthy) breakfast with your hungover friends :) (You might even fancy a run afterwards)!
Because you were looking so good this morning, you've already been asked out for lunch by a hot local guy. Even though this wasn't expected so soon, you're prepared. Goal - sexy and sophisticated, you're going to a trendy roof terrace with a pool and restaurant. You'll be needed your most show-stopping bikini and something to cover up whilst you're eating a delicious lunch. The purple Pacha tassle triangle bikini top and matching bottoms is a great choice to channel poolside glamour, and the black floral mesh maxi kaftan is a sophisticated cover up.
Afternoon Pool Party
You've waved adios to your potential holiday romance, and are ready to have some fun with the girls! This tongue-in-cheek Pacha "Ibiza Made Me Do It" mesh T-shirt blaming the party island for all of your sins is a fun statement at a trendy pool party where you want to stand out from the crowd. Pair it with a bright graphic print bikini or swimsuit underneath for maximum impact - the green botanical print bikini is in my top three from the collection - I love its bold baroque style print and the bustier top paired with the high waisted bottoms is extremely flattering. I'm thinking plenty of Pina Coladas with Summertime by Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince in the background.
Evening Chic Beachside cocktails
After a quick siesta you're ready to party with your friends poolside with some cocktails before heading on out. You might also decide to have one last dip before the sun goes down. You can't go wrong with black, and this cute black mesh insert bikini top is perfect to go from the pool to the club. Pair it with the black Pacha 3D mesh crop top when the sun goes down and the black fishnet maxi skirt to create a seriously sexy clubbing outfit, or the black Pacha stud broderie shorts for a slightly more casual look.

Morning - SPORTS LUXE
There's no sign of the trend for gymwear as daywear slowing down. Designers even layered sleek pieces with floaty feminine fabrics and played around with the aesthetic, especially at Preen and Nazir Mahzar.

Lunchtime - KAFTANS
There was plenty of beachwear in the SS 2015 collections, with plenty of modern twists on classic pieces. Issa and Chloe send dreamy embellished kaftans down the catwalk, claiming its place as a clear holiday essential.

Evening - SHEER
Sexy sheer was all over the SS 2015 catwalks - Burberry Prorsum and Marios Schwab embraced barely there fabrics which screamed elegance and femininity.
Enjoy your holiday and rocking the amazing new Pacha Collection! I'd love to hear what you've bought or which combinations you've chosen for your holiday looks.

Oh I'm not sure I'm keen - maybe a bit young for me?? I do love the 'Ibiza made me do it' top though and would have definitely worn that in my younger days x
ReplyDeleteEveryone of those bikinis would give a weird tan line! Imagine if you'd spent too long in the sun the day you wore the first one! You'd just wear your kaftan for the rest of the week :)
