She is still the woman of the moment, even forty years after her death. Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel's astounding contribution to fashion will be featured in a new exhibition in London this October. From 13th October, the Saatchi Gallery will devote three floors to Mademoiselle Prive, which will showcase the only jewellery collection ever to be created by Chanel herself in 1932 (The Bijoux de Diamants collection) alongside her jaw dropping Haute Couture.
The exhibition will also document the story of the Chanel brand, from its beginnings in 1909 to the present day fashion house and the work of its current Head Designer and Creative Director, Karl Lagerfeld.
Chanel lovers can currently get their fix at the Mode Methode exhibition at the Bundeskuntshalle Museum in Cologne, Germany and in September with Sam Taylor Wood's photography exhibition also at the Saatchi Gallery from September 12th. The Private Apartment of Mademoiselle Chanel will feature 34 photographs of her private rooms at 31 Rue Cambon in Paris.
2015 - the year of Chanel Exhibitions. It's starting to grow on me :)
